Ask your Local MP to call on the Prime Minister to reverse the cut to Universal Credit.

On 6 October, the UK Government took £20 a week from the pockets of six million low-income families, cutting their incomes by up to a fifth as the cost of living is set to soar.

This was the biggest overnight cut to social security since World War II and could see 1.2m people across the UK having to skip meals just to get by.

We need your help to build public pressure and ask the UK Government to reverse this cut.

Life is full of crises that we cannot plan for, such as job loss or illness, and periods of lower earnings or caring responsibilities. We all need the security and stability of a strong lifeline, not just during a national crisis, but every day.

That’s why we’re urging the UK Government to reverse this devastating decision and reinstate the £20 a week in Universal Credit.

How you can help us.

Complete this form to send your local MP a message letting them know the impact the cut is having on your or your local community.

Let your MP know why this issue is important to you by filling in as much detail as possible in the form. This will then be added directly into your email to MP.

If you, your family or friends have been impacted by the cut then it would be especially powerful to share that in the space provided, and how you have been affected.

If you have any questions or concerns, or want to tell us about how you’ve engaged with your MP, please email
